What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?
It was a perfect Parisian afternoon having already digested a superb meal at a bistro near the Champs Elysées! You find yourself at the capital of culinary stuff and you can’t resist following the scents of a nearby chocolaterie..After a while you discover the source of this «sweet miracle in the making” and as you open the door you witness a neatly organized display of chocolate delicacies such as eclairs, macarons, truffles, chocolates etc…
The lovely gentleman wearing gloves attends to his work with love and care as he welcomes us in.. I’m looking at the perfect collection of sweet temptations as he welcomes us in with a smiling “bonjour”! That was the signal I was waiting for! The time to taste some of those little pastry miracles had come! Without second thoughts we chose an eclair and the chocolate tart..
There are moments that you may confess that you’ve come to a state of total bliss. That nothing can harm you, or if your life on this form was about to end -after this experience – you would be fully content, this was one of those moments..The eclair was as fresh as you would expect it to be..But the tart was.. “oh mon dieu”, inexplicably perfect…when you bit it, it produced a “crack”and the chocolate was so fresh and liquid that reached every molecule of your senses, filling your existence with joy!!
The experience ended with us producing sounds of satisfaction and two (very delicately) wrapped boxes containing more heavenly made products for later use in the hotel! This gastronomic experience made me realize the significance of the “little things” that we need to appreciate and moreover that the love that an artist puts to his work can make a great difference to the result and the impact it has on our lives!!
